The Wine Festival has been a special event for the Municipal Community of Embonas, as a tradition that has been held for oven 62 consecutive years with great success and has been established due to the high quality grape and wine production by the locals.

Every year festival program includes music and dance performances and theatrical plays, always accompanied by the plentiful supply local grape and wine varieties produced in Embonas. The cultural association of Embonas take an active part in the celebration, as its members perform traditional dances in village costumes and revive old customs such as the treading of the grapes. Guests to the festival are always renowned folk artists who entertain the audience with their songs.
